Dec 12---Alabama is suffering a severe drought. Livestock producers are facing tough decisions about how to manage their herds, not only watering but feeding the herd. To address this situation, a Drought Meeting will be held on Monday December 12th at the Fayette County Extension Office located at 650 McConnell Loop in Fayette at 6pm. The topics covered at this meeting will be cattle feeding programs, program assistance available, hay and forage inventory, agronomic impacts, post drought planning, herd inventory recommendations and weather outlook.
Ded 13---Tuesday December 13th at 6pm, the Eagle Rock Grill in Berry will transform into a winter wonderland packed full with your favorite Christmas music. Join Shane Watkins, Wanda Norris and other loccal talent for this event. Admission is free.
Dec 31---Christmas In The Park at Guthrie Smith Park in Fayette is open nightly 530-930pm through December 31st. Admission $1 per car. You'll see thousands of lights and lots of animated sceens. Train rides on Thursday Friday and Saturday for $1 per person.

TFN---Bethel Apostolic Chursh in Winfield has a Community Food Bank serving Marion and Fayette counties open every 2nd and 4th Saturday of every month 2-4pm at their building on Fairview Road in Winfield. Proof od identification is required. call 412-6047

TFN---Celebrate Recovery meets every Thrusday at Fayette First United Methodist Church in the fellowship hall. A free meal is served at 630 followed byworshipa nd less/testimony at 7 and small group discussions at 8 and coffee house at 830. Childcare is provided. Celebrate Recover is for people from all walks of life who are seeking help and healing from life's struggles
TFN---The Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association hosts Bike Night every 2nd Thursday of every month at their building on Hwy 43 north of Guin. There's door prizes and a 50-50 raffle and more....

TFN---Free GED Classes and Ready to Work Classes are being offered on the Winfield Middle School campus, Monday-Thrusday 8-11am and Monday and Thursday 5-8pm. GED Test can be taken at a reduced price when the student can meet certain requirements. For info call 205-487-0037
