Jul 19---The Pikeville County Club will host a One Man Scramble Golf Tournament July 19th and 20th. Entry fee is $50. Players 55 and older will tee from a modified Gold Tee. Shotgun start both days. Must be 18 or over to enter. For info call 921-9577
Jul 20---Springhill Baptist Church in the Bluff Community will host Homecoming Services July 20th. Morning worship at 10:30...Lunch at noon...and singing at 1 with the Palmetto Blue Grass Gospel group as the guest
Jul 24---The Marion County Domestic Violence Task Force ill meet Thursday July 24th at noon at Dinelli's in Hamilton and at 6pm at Hot Rod Subs in Gu-Win. Everyone is welcome
Jul 25---Brilliant Church of God will be hosting the first Saturate Confrence on July 25th and 26th. On that Friday at 6:30pm pastor Eric Crews will speak, Worship Life Church will be leading worship with local drama teams. On that Saturday there will be a 2-sessions of in depth Bible study. At 10am, The Ministry of the Holy Spirit and at 11, Increasing Your Love For The WOrd. Everyone is welcome
Jul 26---Back to School and Back Pack Give-Away will be held Saturday July 26th at 2pm. Puppets, games, fun and free backpacks will be a part of the event. Children must be present with parent. This event is being sponsored by the Winfield City Family Church of Co Hwy 173. For more info call 275-7900
Jul 27---Coming July 25th-27th to the Pastime Theatre, the World Premiere of The Surprise Party, a new play by local playwright Melanie McCullough. Performances will be on that Friday and Saturday at 7pm and that Sunday at 2. Tickets are $15 and available at the Pastime Theatre Office, Gold Connection, the Kemp Foundation Office, and City Hall in Winfield.
Jul 30---The Winfield Church of God will host a Kids Crusade on July 27-30 at 6pm nightly. There will be food, fun and inflatable on that Wednesday. All area children ages 12 and under are welcome. For info call 487-4889

Jul 31---Have you ever wanted to extend your gardening growing season and wondered what plants you can grow in a fall garden? A Fall Gardening meeting will be held on Thursday July 31st 6-8pm at the Winfield Experiment Station where you can learn about fall plant varieties and problems that arise in gardens this time of year. Jul 31---The Winfield Elementary School is taking applications for the new Pre-K Program. Children must be 4 years old by September 1st to be eligible for the program. For info call the school office at 487-2305
Jul 31---The Auburn Alumni Association is forming an organization in Fayette, Lamar, Marion and WInston Counties called the Westside Auburn Club. The ultimate purpose of this organization is to raise scholarships for students from the four counties. Anyone interested in these endeavors please contact Ray Alexander at email@example.com
Aug 1---There will be a Swamp John's Dinner at the Hubbertille Pavilion on Friday AUgust 1st 4-7pm. Plates will be $10. You can dine in or carry out. To pre-order see any member of the Hubbertville Lions Club or stop by B&M Grocery. All proceeds will support the Hubbertville Lion's Club with awarding scholarships and other community projects

Aug 8---Pikeville Country Club, will host their 2014 Men’s Invitational Gold Tournament August 9th and 10th. The $125 entry fee includes Golf Shirt, Dinner for 2 on Saturday night, Entertainment by the Win-Wheel Band, 1 practice round during the week before tournament and prizes in all flights. Optional games include: Friday night events long drive, closest to pin on 2 holes both days, skins game both days and par 3 tournament on Saturday. Aug 15---Winfield Park & Rec Baseball Softball and Soccer sign-up July 30-August 15 at the Winfield Community Center, 8-5 each day. Soccer is open to ages 5-15 and baseball and softball ages 7-12. A copy of the child’s birth certificate is required at the time of sign-up. For info call 487-6710.

Aug 30---The Hackleburg Rescue Squad is selling chances on a 35 quart Yeti Cooler valued at over $300 to be given away August 30th. Tickets are $1 each. All proceeds go to the Hackleburg Rescue Squad to help serve the people of Hackleburg and surrounding area

Parents must bring the child's birth certificate, Verification of income for 2013, Medicaid or insurance card, information about WIC, food stamps, college ID, Military ID, proff of kinship care, and IEP. Services are provided at no cost to parents including all school supplies. Children with special needs and/or disabilities and homeless families are given priority.
